Bookmarked is designed around cited answers, protected page evidence, source provenance, and lawful access to books.

Starter library

The starter library is intended to use public-domain texts. Source URLs are kept for provenance and review. A source URL is record-keeping, not a substitute for confirming rights status.

User uploads

Users may upload only books they own, have licensed, or are otherwise authorized to process. Bookmarked may remove uploaded material or disable accounts involved in rights violations.

Protected source access

Source pages are intended for verification and close reading inside guarded, watermarked views rather than redistribution or bulk copying.

Rights-holder requests

Rights holders can request review, removal, or licensing discussion through the support contact published for the service. Include the work title, author, alleged issue, and your contact information.

Limitations

No web reader can perfectly prevent every form of copying. Bookmarked layers technical controls, usage logging, watermarking, and account enforcement to reduce misuse.
